Community guidelines
Every shul on Shuli runs its own community, and its admins are the first line of moderation. These baseline rules apply everywhere, in every shul.
Speak like you're in shul
Chat and announcements are an extension of your community. No harassment, hate speech, or personal attacks — and hold lashon hara to the same standard you would at kiddush.
Keep it relevant
The community chat is for your shul: minyanim, simchas, chesed, questions, divrei Torah. Spam, unsolicited advertising, and off-topic flooding don't belong.
No inappropriate content
Nothing sexually explicit, violent, or otherwise inappropriate for a community that includes families and children.
Respect privacy
Don't share another member's phone number, address, or personal details without their permission.
Report, don't retaliate
Every chat message carries a Report action — open the message's actions and choose Report, and it goes straight to your shul's admins. They can remove the content, mute a member so they can read but not post, or remove them from the shul. To report an announcement, or something that happened outside the chat, speak to one of your shul's admins: they can remove any post in their shul. You can also block any member yourself — their messages disappear from your view immediately.
Enforcement
Reported content is reviewed by shul admins, who can delete it and mute or remove the member responsible. Repeated or serious violations can end a member's access to their shul's community. Questions or appeals: eli@elivated.com.
